The event: Kick-off party at Kustom nightclub to promote the 10th anniversary Green-Tie Ball on Sept. 8. The group: Chicago Gateway Green, dedicated to the beautification of the Chicago area. Bragging rights: The Expressway Partnership, which unites city, state and businesses in landscaping the expressways with trees, grasses and shrubs–and, yes, we’ve noticed. Landed for the big night in September: Three-course dinner by Wolfgang Puck, comedy by Jon Stewart and music by the B-52s. Something to think about: Plant a tree and nurture it.
