Daniel Craig, age 81, died on Thursday, May 10, 2001. Born in Donegal, Ireland, on October 27, 1919. He had lived in San Diego since retiring in 1983. A member of Local #1 Ironworkers for 43 years, he had worked on many of the skyscrapers in the Chicago area including the Sears Tower, the Prudential Building and the Amoco Building. A 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration was held in March. Survived by: wife Eileen; daughter Fran (Bruce) Dobrowski and son Tony (Toni) Craig; grandchildren Ryan and Veronica Libel, Amanda, Nicole and Dan Anthony Craig; sisters Maureen O’Donnell and Bridget Sweeney of Birmingham, England, and Kathleen Hughes of Glasgow, Scotland. Interment of cremains to Donegal, Ireland, at a later date. Visitation at Clairemont Mortuary, in San Diego, on Monday, May 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Our Mother of Confidence Church on Tuesday, May 15, at 10 a.m. Donations to: Sharp Hospice Care, 8881 Fletcher Parkway, La Mesa, CA 91942.
