William C. Bornstein, WWII U.S. Navy Veteran, born to eternal life Sept. 10, 2001 after a long and valiant battle against complications following heart surgery, most beloved and treasured husband of Marilyn Bornstein, nee Rochford; loved and loving brother-in-law of Joan (the late Joseph) McNamara; devoted and loving son of the late Charles and Mary Bornstein, nee Ronan; dear nephew of the late Catherine Kehoe and David Ronan; son-in-law and ‘Our Willie” of the late Vincent and Tillie Anderson, nee Mahoney; “The Dear One” of the late James and Sarah McNamara. He was a happy, caring, gentle man, strong in his faith, always ready to help anyone at anytime. Bill was loved by all and we are better persons for having had him in our lives. When the phone rang this time it was from a higher power and our dear Bill answered the call. He is survived by many cousins and friends. He was a retired lineman for the City of Chicago, 50 year member of the I.B.E.W. #9, Third Order Carmelite, Mount Carmel Alumni, member of St. John Fisher Holy Name Society. Visitation Friday 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday 10:30 a.m. from the Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home (D.F. Curley Sons, Directors), 10727 South Pulaki Road, to St. John Fisher Church for an 11:15 a.m. Mass. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
