What goes around, comes around. We are the leading arms supplier to the world. Now we decry the violent world we live in. We invented the atom bomb. Now it’s coming back to scare us. We financed and armed the fundamentalist Islamic fighters when they were attacking the Soviet Union in Afghanistan, and now they’ve come back to attack us.
I’m not saying what the cowardly terrorists did in New York City isn’t reprehensible. But I am saying that all of the actions of our government have far-reaching consequences.
