Lt. Col. Daniel Fleming is almost right (“Defending bombing,” Voice of the People, Dec. 3). The World Trade Center attack and the other terrorist events he mentions are immoral. That does not make B-52 bombings of Afghanistan moral.
He says, “It is war.” But even war has rules. Let’s not forget the U.S. is a signatory to the Geneva Conventions.
