Chicago’s Steve Fossett and Cory Sertl were named 2001 Rolex Yachtsman and Yachtswoman of the Year. The pair were selected by a panel of sailing journalists. Fossett was recognized for breaking five speed sailing records on his 125-foot catamaran. Sertl, of Rochester, N.Y., was recognized for her versatility in fleet racing and one-on-one match racing as well as her performance as a skipper and crew at several regattas.
