The Tribune’s vicious Jan. 31 editorial (“Life, death and Marilyn Lemak”) was way off in advocating the death penalty for Marilyn Lemak.
We all agree that her crime was vicious. But no mother who is sane would kill her own children just to make a point with her estranged husband. It is the “extraordinarily vicious” act by an otherwise loving mother that confirms her insanity.
Clearly a life sentence was the more appropriate punishment.
