Peter Straaton, 86, of Evanston, IL, passed away March 19, 2002, beloved husband of Gertrud Straaton for 54 years; cherished father of Michael (Paula) and Karin (Alain) StraatonBouchard; loving grandfather of Elise and Julia Straaton and Danielle and Philippe Bouchard; dear uncle of Wolfgang and Carol Schmachtel. Funeral Service Saturday 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Memorial Park Mausoleum, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie. In appreciation of their tremendous support and kindness, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
