Thomas F. Kostka, 57, of Bartlett, a salesman at Midland Paper Co. in Wheeling, died of cancer Tuesday, April 9, in St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. Mr. Kostka worked in sales for printing and graphic arts companies in the Chicago area. He spent the last 15 years working as a paper salesman at Midland. “He was still working on Monday,” said his wife of 18 years, Renee, who said her husband had battled cancer for eight months. “His customers just weren’t his customers. If he couldn’t get there to make a sales call they would come out to our house,” she said. Other survivors include a son, Tommy; a daughter, Eileen Nowak; and two grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in Grove Memorial Chapel, 1100 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village. Services will be held at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
