Police were searching Tuesday for the driver of a silver and black Mitsubishi sport-utility vehicle that struck and killed a 59-year-old man at an intersection on Chicago’s West Side.
Police said the vehicle was traveling south in the 100 block of North Homan Avenue when it struck James Fowler, of the 1100 block of West Balmoral Avenue, as he crossed the street at 10 p.m. Monday. The intersection has traffic lights, police said.
Fowler was pronounced dead at 10:49 p.m. in Mt. Sinai Hospital. Police said they do not have the vehicle’s license number.
