I understand Americans are scared of personal injury to themselves or their families from terrorist acts in their own cities. Up here in Canada we do not share your fear. Why is that?
The reason is that Canada does not engage in acts of foreign policy that cause misery to millions of people around the world. People do not hate us.
How simple it would be for the United States to end its sponsorship of the state of Israel and end the alienation of the entire Arab world. Would you not prefer to have hundreds of millions of Arabs as your friends rather than a few million Israelis?
