A Chicago man was charged with four counts of aggravated battery and one count of battery after attacking two people with a knife in an apartment Saturday night in the 0-99 block of Middlesex Road, police said. Arthur Lyles, 29, of the 3000 block of East 79th Place was being held Monday in the Kane County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail pending a May 20 court appearance, authorities said. Lyles allegedly cut a man on the forehead and a woman on the arm in the woman’s apartment. The victims were treated at a hospital and released Saturday night, police said. Lyles also shoved a security guard during a scuffle in the Fox View Apartments complex before he was subdued by the guard and police officers, according to reports.
