Roger A. Evesque, 68, of Crystal Lake, a retired salesman, died of liver failure Sunday, June 2, in Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry. Born in Canada, Mr. Evesque graduated from Bryant College in Smithfield, R.I., with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He and his late wife, Janet, lived for a few years in Edmonton, Alberta, while Mr. Evesque was a salesman for a manufacturer. From the 1960s to the mid-1970s he worked in the sales department at Seaquist in Cary. He later joined Cap and Seal Co. in Elgin and became its vice president of sales. He retired in 1997. Mr. Evesque could make anyone laugh, even in difficult situations, his daughter Lori said. Other survivors include a son, Scott; two other daughters, Cheri Phillips and Tina Wells; a sister, Madeline Beckman; a brother, Allan; and seven grandchildren. Services will be held Friday in the Birch-Maple Ballroom of the Holiday Inn, 800 S. Illinois Highway 31, Crystal Lake. Friends and family will meet at 6 p.m.; the service will begin at 7:30 p.m.
