John Raatjes, 432nd Army Air Force Base WWII Veteran, age 79, of Macomb, formerly of Chicago, passed away May 24, 2002, beloved husband of Rene, nee Paule; dear brother of Clare Larson; fond uncle of Michael (Lydia) Raatjes and Muriel (Bruce) Cozzi and great-uncle of Anthony Cozzi and Ken Raatjes. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Western Illinois University Department of History.
