Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
I attended my first Cubs game in 1938 and have been a fan ever since. Now I’m reading that another good manager, Don Baylor, is slated to the be the fall guy.
When Andy MacPhail and Ed Lynch came to Chicago and started dismantling the team, I knew we were in trouble. Now we read of Cubs castoffs all over the league, playing regularly with high batting averages.
Baylor does not make the trades, and I’m sure we would not have all these high-priced veterans whiffing at the ball if he could have a say. Please don’t let MacPhail and his new buddy Jim Hendry ruin the team.
