Virginia “Ginger” Stankiewicz, an incredibly strong woman with boundless compassion, a never give up spirit, and a quirky elegance, age 52, longtime Chicago resident. Loving wife of Dale Stankiewicz to whom she was married 28 years; cherished mother of Sandra (David) Hayes, Dyan Stankiewicz and Derek Alexander Stankiewicz; dear daughter of Robert and Lillian Hanson; fond sister of Vincent, Robert, Thomas, Nancy, Terrence, Mary Beth, Patricia and Bridget. She also leaves to cherish her memories other extended family members and a host of friends. Visitation Wednesday, 4 to 9 p.m., at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago.
