They say that politics is a guts-and-blood game. And after reviewing the results of the recent election on Nov. 5, that may be true. But local and national winners, which included Rod Blagojevich (father-in-law Dick Mell), Lisa Madigan (father Michael), Jesse Jackson Jr. (father Jesse Sr.), Dan Hynes (father Tom), Jeb Bush (father and brother George), John Sununu (father John), and, heck, let’s throw in President Bush and Mayor Richard Daley in the mix as well, proved that it doesn’t take guts to be a success in politics. It does require the correct blood–bloodline, that is.
