World-renowned golf course designer Pete Dye was recovering in a hospital, reportedly following surgery for colon cancer.The 76-year-old Dye was in good condition at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boca Raton. Dye has designed over 100 courses throughout the United States.
– NASCAR driver Ken Schrader signed with BAM Racing, securing a ride for the next season just before the start of January testing. Schrader, 1985 Rookie of the Year in Winston Cup, drove the last three seasons for MB2 Motorsports.
