Donna L. “Birds” Rogde, nee Bachert, age 62, passed away at her home, Saturday, January 4, 2003 in Mokena surrounded by her family. Survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Roger M. Rogde; one daughter, Gretchen (fiancee John Smith) Rogde; six sons, Matthew (fiancee Tricia Walls) Rogde, Joel (Meredith) Rogde, Eric Rogde, Chris (Michelle) Rogde, Brian (Kristine) Rogde, Scott (Rachel Crockett) Rogde; three grandchildren, Ethan, Elizabeth, Cary; two brothers, Richard (Yvonne) Bachert, David (Connie) Bachert. Born in Chicago, living in Mokena the past 30 years. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was very active in community affairs for many years. Preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Eleanor, nee Stelter, Bachert. Visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 Francis Rd., New Lenox, Tuesday, 2 to 8 p.m. Lying in state Wednesday, January 8, 2003, 9:30 a.m. until time of services, 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Lenox. Interment St. John Cemetery, Mokena.
