John C. Simutis, age 80, passed away in Carmichael, CA, Jan. 5, 2003, formerly of Chicago Lawn. WWII Air Force bomber pilot. Beloved husband of Marcella Berzinis; father of Elaine (Rick), John (Jean) and Karen Mason; brother of Ruth Kazlauskas and Leonard J.; brother-in-law of Linda Simutis; grandfather of six; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday, Jan. 9 at Lind Brothers Funeral Home, 4221 Manzanita Ave., Carmichael, CA, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Church, interment Calvary Cemetery.
