No. 3 Connecticut tied the NCAA Division I women’s record for consecutive basketball victories at 54 with a 53-48 win over Seton Hall.

The 54 straight victories tied the mark set by Louisiana Tech between 1980-82.

Connecticut (15-0, 3-0 Big East) will try to break the record against Georgetown on Saturday at the Hartford Civic Center. The Huskies have a 55-game overall winning streak at home and a 96-game streak in conference at home.
