The Gene Siskel Film Center has scheduled “Derrida” for a return engagement after screenings of the film were sold out during its premiere in November. This popularity of this documentary by Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering Kofman is testimony that it is not a cut-and-dried educational look the French philosopher Jacques Derrida, but a lively portrait of the thinker who created deconstructionism. Kofman, a former student of Derrida at Yale, will be present for a discussion at the 8:15 p.m. Thursday screening.
“Derrida,” Fri.-Thurs., Gene Siskel Film Center, 164 N. State St. $8; 312-846-2600.
