Joseph Rapacz, born in US, 1911. Returned to Poland at age 12. Served in the Polish Army during WWII, was a German prisoner of war for 6 years. Returned to the US in 1948 where he meet and married his wife Marguerite in 1952. Beloved husband of the late Marguerite, nee Marschalek; loving brother of Ludwika Zmyslona and Stanislawa Wietecka; brother-in-law of Irene Splendoria, June (George) Marschalek; also nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday 10:45 a.m. from Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien to Notre Dame Church, mass 11:30 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
