You’d think being the world’s largest bobblehead and being in San Diego for the Super Bowl, you’d have it made. But Bobbin’ Bob, the 13-foot, 575-pound poly-resin statue of a SoCal surfer dude, got shown the door from San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter.

“The NFL and the city” said Bob had to go because Upper Deck wasn’t an official sponsor, a spokesman of the sports memorabilia company told the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Upper Deck built the giant bobblehead, which sports swim trunks, flip-flops, a No. 37 football jersey (for Super Bowl XXXVII, duh) and, of course, the wavy blond hair.
