Mabel V. Dodson, nee Alward, 94, of Wilmette, died at St. Francis Hospital Evanston Jan. 24, 2003. A native of Chicago she was a 6th Great-granddaughter of the Alward’s, of what became New Jersey, descendents Pioneers in three early counties and first elected officials of South Bend and Kosciusko Cty. She was preceeded in death by her husband Arthur; survived by children Timmons of Wilmette, Thomas (Charlene) of Hillsboro, OR, Susan (the late James) Salmon of Meqoin, WI, and Roberta (William) O’Reilly of Long Grove; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services private. Memorial services in Hillsboro and Meqoin.
