Carlos Ortiz, 24, of the 0-99 block of East Old Willow Road, Prospect Heights, was charged Saturday with possessing more than 500 grams of marijuana, police said. Ortiz was arrested during a traffic stop at Arlington Heights and Algonquin Roads. During a search of Ortiz’s car, officers allegedly found 2 pounds of marijuana in the trunk. Ortiz was ordered to appear in court Feb. 28.
