Hurt college kids by raising the minimum wage (“College kids hurt,” Voice of the people, April 1)?! It’s a wonderful idea that the minimum wage be raised to $6.50.
I work full-time, as well as go to school full-time. A greater minimum wage would make it a lot easier for those, like myself, who have to (gasp!) pay for college.
If the letter writer never paid for school, he doesn’t know how hard it is to work 40 hours a week and try to study and go to school.
If this minimum wage isn’t a big deal to him, he can always send some of his “non-minimum wage” money my way.
I promise it’ll go to a fabulous cause.
