Yerba Buena headlines HotHouse benefit Owners of South Loop’s HotHouse aren’t just sitting around waiting for their day in court to answer liquor and entertainment license violation charges. They’re staging a few performances on site (limiting liquor sales to just before shows and enforcing reserved seating). Plus, they’ve organized an offsite fundraiser at Metro (3730 N. Clark St. 773-549-0203), where two New York Afrobeat bands, Yerba Buena and Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, will perform at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
