It’s not too late to nominate your favorite tree-hugger–self-promotion allowed–for a Willowbrook Wildlife Foundation environmental award.
The group is accepting nominations through June 30 for its Blazing Star awards, which recognize efforts to preserve and maintain DuPage County wildlife habitats. There are individual, community, public entity and corporation categories.
Nomination forms are available from Willowbrook Wildlife Center in Glen Ellyn or online at www.willowbrookwildlife.org. Call 630-942-6200. Winners will be honored at the second annual Willowbrook Wildlife Foundation habitat preservation awards dinner Oct. 9 at Danada House at Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton.
