The death of a 51-year-old man found on a North Side sidewalk was ruled a homicide Saturday by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Michael Anderson, of the 4700 block of North Sheridan Road, died of multiple injuries, blunt trauma and assault, a medical examiner’s office spokesman said. A police officer on routine patrol discovered Anderson’s body in the 1100 block of West Winona Street at 1:09 a.m.
“He looked like he was sleeping,” said police spokesman Matthew Jackson.
Anderson was pronounced dead at the Stein Institute at 4:40 a.m. Saturday.
