Blondes, mark you calendars. No, that’s a colander. Mark your calendar, your day of redemption is at hand.
A National Blonde Day will take place June 30, three days before the debut of MGM’s “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde,” starring Reese Witherspoon. The day is designed to support the distressed and golden-tressed, who often are the butt of jokes and workplace prejudice.
ModaMag.com has set up a Blonde Pride contest, and contestants can win a gift bag by writing a speech for the movie’s lead character, Elle Woods.
Entries will be accepted until June 26, and the top entries will be posted on www.nationalblondeday.com.
