– The 47th annual Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival will have events running Thursday through Sept. 1 in Auburn, Ind. The highlights are the Cruise-In, beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, and the Parade of Classics at noon Saturday. More than 1,000 cars are expected for the Cruise-In, which costs $5 and is open to all makes. About 300 Auburns, Cords and Duesenbergs will be in the parade. – The Winamac Old Auto Club is hosting its 34th annual Auto Show and Swap Meet opening at 8 a.m. Sept. 7 at the Porter County Fairgrounds, Ind. 49 and Davidson Road, Valparaiso, Ind. The event will feature a car show, car corral and swap-meet vendors. Car show fees are $7 in advance and $10 at the gate. Vendor fees are $15 in advance and $18 at the gate. – The Greater Chicago Area British Car Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 7. Sponsored by the British Car Union, the festival will include more than 700 cars, vendors, tech sessions and door prizes. Registration costs $20 at the gate. – Registration is being accepted for the Boulevard Lakefront Tour, a 35-mile bicycle ride through Chicago neighborhoods. The event begins with a scattered start at 7 a.m. Sept. 14 at the Midway Plaisance, near 59th Street and Woodlawn Avenue. Cost is $25 for Chicago Bicycle Federation members, $30 for non-members and $15 for children.
