Observations from my garage with a TV, a laptop and a couple cigars:
– First play, Kordell Stewart fake pitch, naked option, nothing doing. Oh, so that’s what they’ve been hiding in the preseason.
– Second play, Stewart avoids the blitz, then overthrows Dez White. Good to see the blocking and execution match the creative play-calling.
– Third series, and the Bears finally call a running back’s number. Anytime SpongeJohn SquarePants wants to break out all that secret offense, fine by me.
– Anthony Thomas and Adrian Peterson split time in not establishing a ground game.
– Marty Booker runs a pattern 2 yards short of the first-down marker. My, this is a different playbook.
– Can a coach be fired at halftime?
– How about an offensive coordinator?
– Special teams coach?
– GM?
