Recent letters prompt me to write, as a pedestrian who sometimes encounters cyclists on suburban sidewalks and bridge overpasses (not on fitness paths). Why don’t bicycles have horns on them anymore? You can get someone’s attention better with a honk, a jingle of bells or a beep than you can with a normal human voice.
