Columnist Steve Chapman points out the obvious in “Now the Democrats have war doubts?” (Commentary, Oct. 2), and does it in a wonderful way. The idea that we should not rebuild Iraq after destroying it is crazy. And the folks who supported the war but now balk at the cost look foolish. Chapman did miss one point. Many of those who are complaining the loudest either want to be president, so they need something to harp on the current administration about, or they want to move up into higher posts in their own party.
