The DuPage County Forest Preserve District has acquired nearly 4 acres on Bilter Road adjacent to Big Woods Forest Preserve, near the DuPage/Kane County line.
District commissioners Tuesday approved payment of $132,000 for the property as part of a condemnation settlement. The parcel, known as the Big Woods/Bilter Road additions/Hess property, includes significant portions of wetlands.
