Walter B. Leamon, 63, retired Lieutenant, Chicago Fire Department, affectionately called “Butch” and “Wally”, beloved husband of Barbara, nee Dutter; loving father of Linda Lawton and Sandi Leamon; cherished grandfather of Stephanie Lawton; son of the late Walter E. and late Mary, nee Barry; son-in-law of the late Donald and late Florence Dutter; brother-in-law of Deborah (Richard) Wright and Donald Dutter Jr.; uncle of Robert Krueger and Michael Dutter; cousin of the late Frank (Marilyn) Ross, Frank (Paula) Ross and Thomas Ross. Walter proudly served with honor on the Chicago Fire Department for 34 years. Resting at the Central Funeral Chapel, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago. Funeral Service Monday, Dec. 8, 2003 at 11 a.m. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be offered at a later date.
