I totally agree with Rick Morrissey that Dick Jauron should be retained as the Bears’ coach for the 2004-05 season. Jauron is a fine person and, I think, a good coach. He has had the unfortunate role of being coach of a team that is not capable of producing much. Give him a good team and a consistent quarterback and I think Jauron could lead the Bears to the playoffs next year. Hopefully, with Rex Grossman taking over the quarterback position, he will be in position to do just that.
The only tweaking that the Bears might need is to rid themselves of John Shoop–I don’t believe he understands pro football very well. He could be a nice college or high school coach.
