How can the BCS claim any credibility in the eyes of the common fan if LSU can leapfrog USC for a shot at the national title? Remember the days when losing late in the season meant you no longer contended for the No.1 spot? Every player, coach and fan knew it and accepted it.
Let LSU and USC battle it out and keep Oklahoma on the outside for not taking care of business the way a champion should. Maybe the folks in California should just secede from the whole NCAA. This is the only instance where a team can be penalized for winning. Should the Packers only get half a win because they beat the Bears? Seems to be the way of thinking in college.
