Our class has joined together to show our love and support for our former 7th grade teacher, who is ill with cancer.

It has been almost one full year now that our awesome teacher Jean Flynn left to continue her treatments and fight against her illness. Many of us have been continually attending the 8:15 a.m. mass every Thursday morning before school on her behalf. We have also organized an all-school “Pray a decade of the Rosary” together before our school day ends. This is dedicated to Ms. Flynn and others in need of our prayers.

Last May we were informed she intended to return in the fall because her prognosis looked very positive.

At the beginning of this school year, however, we were told the cancer had returned and spread. We decided to videotape personal messages and send them to her.

We still have not given up hope. We’re a class that believes in miracles. We also believe that God always answers our prayers in his own way and time.

Through this whole process our class has become closer to each other. We also realize that together we can accomplish much. We pray we’ve brought some comfort and smiles to our wonderful Ms. Flynn.
