Pete Rose’s decision to admit he gambled on baseball after 14 years of denying it came not from the heart but from the pocketbook (“Rose does about face on baseball gambling, Page 1, Jan. 6.) Rather than being sincerely apologetic, he just did it to promote his new autobiography. Rose is shameful until the very end.
