Barbara Strang Becker, PhD, of Wilmette, is survived by her brother Donald W. Jr. (Karen Kline) Strang; three nephews Donald W. III, David E. and Peter W. Strang and niece Allison Strang Shaw; and 10 grandnieces and nephews. Barbara earned her PhD in Performance Studies from Northwestern University, then taught at Principia College and Louisiana State University before retiring in 1991. She was an active member of Second Church of Christ Scientist in Evanston. She had a profound love of the arts. Services will be private.
