Bernard Joseph Smolin, 87, died January 11, 2004, of lymphoma, in Del Mar, CA, formerly of Chicago’s South Shore Community, survived by two children, Rocky Smolin and Robin (Marshall) Pearlstein; two grandchildren, Max Benjamin and Noah Asher Smolin. President of American Bristle and Hair Co., processors of animal hair and animal by-products. Former member of the Standard Club of Chicago, Idelwild Country Club, Flossmoor, IL., active in Jewish Community, member of Temple Beth-Am. Services were held January 13, 2004 in San Diego, CA. Contributions to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
