Nelly’s award-winning Pimp Juice may be headed online soon.
That’s right: award-winning.
The energy drink, which has drawn protests over its name, has topped the million mark in sales in a little more than three months, the World Entertainment News Network reports. It also was named best energy drink by Vibe magazine and “Readers’ Choice of Best Energy Drink” by trade magazine Bev-Net.
To meet the wave of demand, the drink’s distributor is trying to sell it over the Internet. In the meantime, Tower Records and Musicland (which includes Sam Goody and Suncoast) reportedly have struck deals to sell Pimp Juice in their stores.
