Quite a bond director Duncan Roy has with his star, Elizabeth Hurley, on the set of their film “Method.”
“Liz seems to have the impression that she is a great actress,” Roy said, according to ananova.com. “She totally believes that she is someone special. She is not.
“She thinks she is really beautiful. Well, when you have seen her first thing in the morning using a spatula to trowel in thick globs of foundation on her old acne marks, she’s not that attractive anymore.”
Hurley’s spokesman shot back: “Elizabeth is astonished that Duncan should be telling these awful lies about her. She really liked Duncan and fought very hard to get him the job, as the producers were very nervous about hiring him due to his prison record” and addiction issues.

Donald Trump’s not buying the rumor that he once dated Penthouse Pet of the Year Victoria Zdrok, the New York Daily News reports.
Zdrok told Steppin’ Out magazine that the two were an item and went on to dish about the billionaire reality star.
“He said, ‘People don’t realize how handsome I am,’ ” she reportedly said. “He actually loves himself.”
Steppin’ Out’s Chaunce Hayden says The Donald shot back: “Who the hell wants a Penthouse Pet? Penthouse is gone, it’s bankrupt. It’s over.”
RULE BRIT MANIA: British rapper Dizzee Rascal is in New York to promote his breakthrough debut album, “Boy In Da Corner.” But the rapper won’t be flying back home to promote himself at the Brit Awards, the UK record industry’s biggest night, World Entertainment News Network reports.
So why is Dizzee, who’s up for three awards, snubbing the Grammys across the pond? “There’s too much emphasis on awards,” a source at his record label said.
Beyonce, no stranger to awards, is up for two prizes at Tuesday’s ceremony. And Justin Hawkins, lead singer of The Darkness, seems pretty confident of his band’s chances to capitalize on its four nominations.
“I anticipate we will win something based on the fact that we’re top of the UK music tree, and nobody can really deny that,” he said.
DON’T GO CHANGIN’: Meg Ryan’s last movie, the erotic thriller “In the Cut,” didn’t do so well at the box office, and it taught her an important lesson about her image.
“I learned on the last movie out that there’s a very particular idea of me that people don’t want to give up. And you know what? That’s fine, I’m happy to do comedies as well,” Ryan told the Boston Herald. “I mean, I’m an actor, and I want to do all kinds of different things. But that was never a movie for everyone. That was always a movie that has a great director telling a very, very personal story. It’s great to serve that kind of vision as well as a more commercial vision. They’re just two entirely different things.”
Ryan next stars as an unlikely boxing manager in “Against the Ropes.”
STORMY ON THE HOMEFRONT: Wyclef Jean is concerned about the unrest in his native Haiti, where rebels are trying to overthrow President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
“The killing is brutal,” the ex-Fugees singer tells the New York Daily News. “I know a lot of people that passed away.”
Jean says the island nation needs help from the United Nations.
LOVE-HATE RELATIONSHIP: Everybody may love Raymond on TV, but now that he’s leaving his CBS sitcom next year, he’s anxious to see if they’ll love him on the big screen.
“What if it just does abysmally?” Ray Romano told Time for its Feb. 23 issue. “What if people not only don’t go–what if they protest?”
His movie debut, “Welcome to Mooseport,” hits theaters Friday.
“I already told the cast [of ‘Raymond’], ‘I’m inviting you to the premiere, but I’m politely asking you not to come,’ ” he said. “I don’t need the pressure of going to work the next day and them making fun of me.”
BUSTED: “The Real World: New Orleans” cast member David Broom was arrested last week in Chicago for patronizing a prostitute.
According to The Smoking Gun, the celebrity wannabe paid a whopping $10 for the services of the alleged hooker. Broom, who also competed in MTV’s “Real World/Road Rules: The Gauntlet,” is scheduled for a March 25 court appearance.
