Milton Wronski, 91, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born Feb. 9, 1913 to Cyprian and Anna Wronski in Chicago. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Our memories of our loving husband, father, brother and grandfather remind us of his interest in everything from aircraft to sailing to scuba diving. He was an avid reader, always taking a class, and a lover of the outdoors. His hobbies included model airplane design and building; Scoutmaster and boat building with the Boy Scout Troop 421 of St. Mary Perpetual Help Church in Chicago; Harley motorcycles (honeymoon from Chicago to Mexico City with his bride in 1939 on a Harley); building and flying glider airplanes; woodworking; stained glass design and construction; snow skiing since 1935; hiking and wilderness camping; ice skating and skate sailing; bicycling; lake and ocean sailing and racing; furniture reupholstery; and photography. He attended school in Chicago at Englewood High School and received an AA Business Degree from Northwestern University. Milton had a career as an advertising executive, retiring after 50 years with Spiegel, Inc. Civic activities included the Chicago Outing Club; Chicago Jack and Jill Club; AYH (where he had a skipper’s license); YMCA-LaGrange, IL, Atlantis Scuba Divers; St. Joseph Church Senior Citizen Club, Summit, IL, Willow Springs Ski Club. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Raymond (Helen), Edward (Marie), Benjamin (Lillian), Alphonse (Ann) and Leon (Stephanie); a sister, Helen (Francis) Jarzembicki. Survivors include his loving wife, Ann K. Wronski; daughter, Merrilee (Willis) Kircik; granddaughter, Suzanne Marie Hamilton, all of Jacksonville, FL; a grandson, Jeffery (Lisa) Kircik; great-granddaughters, Jenna and Annalise, all of Winter Park, FL; a brother, Thaddeus (Florence) Wronski of Crofton, MD; a sister, Irena (Joseph) Jurick of Eureka, CA; and sister-in-law, Hannah Wronski of Poland. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
