Jonathan B. Hayes, 78, of Elgin, loving husband to Phoebe; dear father to Patricia (James) Lackman and Julie (Michael) Kmieciak; fond stepfather to Rani Horton and Eric Humbracht; grandfather to Margaret Lackman, Justin and Jonathan Kmieciak; brother to Margaret Taylor, Carol Pangborn and Libby Hayes, Richard and James Hayes. John was a Veteran and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Redeemer, Elgin. Burial will be in Bronswood Cemetery, Oak Brook, IL. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S.
