Robert J. Korda, of Naples, passed away suddenly on Monday, Feb. 23, 2004. Born in Chicago, he lived in Elk Grove and Park Ridge, IL, residing in Naples for 10 years. A United States Air Force WWII and Korean War, Bronze and Silver Star Veteran, Mr. Korda transferred to and retired from the USAF Reserves as a Colonel. He was a realtor, employed by Century 21, Des Plaines, IL office. He was a member of the USAF Retired Officers Association, was a former member of the Avalon Board and was an avid and passionate Chicago White Sox fan. A beloved husband and loving father, Mr. Korda is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lois, nee Hough; his daughter, Deborah (Jim) Cashmore; three sons, Bruce (Jeanne) Korda, Kevin (Sandra) Korda and Brian (Kathi) Korda; his brother, George Korda; eight grandchildren, Denise, Jason, Pamela, Ellen, Nikole, Ashley, Derek and Jeff; four great-grandchildren, Jack, Lauren, Edan and Lars; and many dear friends. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, Feb. 26, 2:30 p.m. at the Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Rd., Naples, FL, 239-592-1611. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions made in his memory to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
