Michael Howe Patterson, age 71, an Army Specialist Four during Korean War, of Palatine since 1978, formerly of Arlington Heights, born May 11, 1932 in Chicago and moved to Winchester, MA at the age of 6, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at his home. Mr. Patterson married Sabra Black on May 12, 1962 in Indianapolis, IN. Mr. Patterson was a graduate of Belmont Hill, Belmont Hill, MA – 1951 (Preparatory School). Graduate of Harvard College, Cambridge, MA in 1955. Also attended graduate school at Northwestern University, Chicago. Member of Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity. He had worked for General Electric, Hotpoint Home Appliance Division of Chicago, during his career he had been a Unit Manager and Civil Engineer for Range, Dishwasher and Refrigeration. Mr. Patterson retired in 1994 after 29 years of service. Survivors include wife, Sabra Patterson; daughter, Deborah Kay (Matthew J.) Ligda; grandson, Michael Emery Ligda; and brother, John J. Patterson. Visitation Friday, March 12, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Funeral Saturday, March 13, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
