It’s time for the men in kilts.
The 18th annual Illinois St. Andrew Society’s Highland Games are Saturday in the Oak Brook Polo Grounds, 31st Street and York Road. The event features a sheep-herding demonstration, rugby tournament and music and dance performances. A shortbread-baking contest makes its debut this year.
Gates open at 8 a.m. The cost is $15 for adults, $12 for people age 65 and older, and $5 for those aged 3 to 15. Tickets are available at the gate or at www.chicago-scots.org. Call 708-447-5092.
